How Julian Sayin, the offensive line and the rest of Ohio State’s offense graded vs. Miami in the Cotton Bowl
ARLINGTON, Texas --Juli an Sayin was sacked 16 times in his first year as Ohio State’s starting quarterback, and two teams are responsible for more than half of them.
After watching Indiana get to Sayin five times in the Big Ten Championship Game, Miami repeated that feat in the Cotton Bowl. That dominance upfront paved the way for a 24-14 win.
Sayin being under constant duress against the Hurricanes was why he completed a season-low 62.8% of his passes 35, turning that into 287 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. That earned him a Pro Football Focus grade of 77.4.
That grade was second only to Jeremiah Smith, who, for the second straight game, was his best and most consistent weapon. Smith turned eight targets into seven catches for 157 yards and a touchdown to go with an 81.6 grade, the highest of any Buckeye. Read more....
